I’m Jen Kerns.

About Me.

design is my passion

Know Me.

Hi, I’m Jen, a graphic designer with a love for color, clarity, and clever ideas. I design with people in mind, crafting visuals that fit the vibe and purpose of every project. From branding and print design to digital layouts and video editing, I focus on making work that connects, communicates, and feels right.

My style isn’t one-size-fits-all, it’s complementary. I believe good design should reflect the personality behind it, not overshadow it. Accessibility and usability are always at the core of what I do, because great design should work for everyone.

When I’m not deep in a project, you can usually find me volunteering at robotics competitions, experimenting with new creative tools, or attempting to keep my cats from “helping” at my desk. (They’re very passionate about kerning.)

Designer. Problem solver. Tinkerer.

Experienced Designer.

What i do.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all design. Instead, I listen — to you, your audience, your goals — and then build from there. I aim for balance: clarity + creativity, structure + spontaneity. I care deeply about accessibility, usability, and making work that feels honest, effective, and engaging.

Collaboration is at the heart of how I work. I love partners who challenge me, share ideas, and care as much as I do about the small details.

  • Branding & identity
Crafting visual stories that feel unique yet true to you
  • Print & digital design
from brochures and posters to social media and website images
  • Video editing
bringing your message to life with timing, flow, and feeling
  • Accessible design
ensuring visual work is usable and inclusive for as many people as possible

My goal? To build visuals that fit your vibe. Not to overpower or distract, but to support your voice, your values, and your story.

Work Experience.

I’ve spent the past decade designing for people who care about purpose as much as presentation. My work blends accessibility, storytelling, and thoughtful design, whether I’m collaborating in-house or creating for clients through my own studio.

Animals.

Animal welfare is important to me. I firmly believe most problems can be improved by better care, better systems, cats as supervisors, and at least one very good dog.

I’m deeply involved in K–12 robotics programs. It’s a world of creativity, problem-solving, organized chaos, and making sure big events don’t fall apart
